Burns Night, Kirford

The Foresters wanted a piper for their Burns Night supper. .. The offer of free food always swings it.

First outing of the year ..  played for 30 mins as the guests came in,  then piped in the haggis. Dressed in #1 uniform seems to please the crowd, although I suspect anything would do, but dressing up allows them to get publicity and value out of it.

set played ...  My land set, Scotland the brave set, 48th Highlanders set, Cock of the North Set, and finishing with 72 Highlanders MSR set.

Copthorne Carnival

two shows at Copthonrne ... first dry second tipping it down

Horely Carnival

Horley Carnival .... the rain held off and we did the march around the houses then down the high street

Then a session in the field.

We even got a picture in the next year program

Crawley Carnival

Lions Carnival - Crawley ...  exceedingly wet ... capes on for all.

Really hard to play when rain dripping down the drones makes it need more pressure.

minimal audience.. hardly worth the appearance.
